G_SENS_Strongyloides

Graphene-based electrochemical biosensor for the diagnosis of strongyloidiasis as a point of care device.

Project description

Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) are a diverse group of conditions that mainly occur in tropical and subtropical areas of the globe, affecting the most vulnerable populations Among NTDs, those caused by helminths are the most prevalent. Among them, Schistosomiasis is one of the main objectives for the World Health Organization to “control” by 2030. In G_SENS_Strongy project is developed a portable point of care device based in graphene-based printed sensors for the early detection of strongyloidiasis at the point of care.

This project is made of a consortium coordinated by GraphenicaLab with research partner ISGlobal (The Barcelona Institute of Globla Health at the Clinic Hospital in Barcelona).
